Stop Waiting for a Special Day to Do Something- Today is Special

Do you have a very special bottle of wine or Champaign that you have been holding for a long time just waiting for a special occasion that you can drink it to celebrate? Well you have a reason to open that bottle on February 28, 2009 which has been named “Open That Bottle Night”. This date was created for our enjoyment by Dorothy J. Gaiter and John Brecher , Wall Street journal’s wine columnists, who created the date with one goal in mind: Open the bottle of wine that has laid around and gathered dust for years in hopes of a special celebration. Many times when that special moment arrives, it’s too late; The wine has already grown old or even died. I know that this is a fact because our son gave us a bottle of Dom Perion Champaign

and we were so proud of it because he gave it to us; that we held it until all of our children could be together to celebrate a special occasion. When that happened many years later, the Champaign had grown old and died. We had to regretfully throw it out but we did have a big laugh at its wake. I decided that night  to drink my fine wine when I want it because every day is a day to celebrate life! So join me on February 28, 2009 and any other day that you choose to drink your fine wine in celebration of life before the bottle dies. Cheers!

Temper Tantrum at an Asian Airport

Did you see the video of the woman who had a temper tantrum at an airport, recently? In case you missed it here is a brief report of the incident. There was a woman at an Asian Airport who missed her plane because she was late getting to the airport and instead of trying to work with the airline officials to get another flight as soon as possible, she chose to act like a two year old that didn’t get their way having a major temper tantrum. She kicked, yelled, threw things, screamed, cried, passed out on the floor and etcetera. While she did all of this the airline staffed worked compassionately with her to calm her down and put her on another fight to her destination. She had better be glad that she was not in the states because she would probably have gone to jail for obstruction of justice as well as for breaching security. Let’s all learn our lesson from this incident and allow ourselves enough time to get in and out of airports.

When I heard last week that one lady’s monkey had attacked
her friend and left her in critical condition, I knew that something fishy was
going on between that monkey and the owner. I later discovered that I was right.
In case you didn’t read the story, there was one lady who owned a pet monkey
and she treated him like a human since her husband and child died. They drank wine
from a long stem glass, ate together and did a lot of stuff together that
normally humans do together. One day last week the monkey went bananas and she
called her friend to come and help her get the monkey in control. The monkey
then jumped on the friend and the police had to be called because now the
monkey was berserk and about to kill the friend. The police killed the monkey
and saved the friend’s life; even though, the friend is still in critical
condition and is in need of a facelift. So don’t try to humanize animals
because you will confuse them and they may do anything to you or someone that
you love. Just let animals be animals.
