Children Who Make Suicide Threats Should Not Be Ignored
Sometimes children have been known to make suicide threats to their parents, family members, school authorities, friends and other people around them. Any time a child tells another person that they are going to harm themselves this should be taken very seriously. The other person should treat it as if it is a true fact because if the child follows through there is too much at steak. If the threat is made to a parent they should talk to the child, keep them under close watch and if they even suspect that the child is in danger then take them to see a professional to get an evaluation. If a threat is made by a child to any other person; the parents should be notified that this happened as soon as possible, and the parents should follow the above suggestions. G Mama urges you not to take lightly threats children may make concerning suicide, your acting appropriately may save their life or get them other help that they may need and believe me they are worth your effort.
