A friend in financial need is….
A friend in need is a pain in the butt. I know you’ve always been taught that a friend in need is a friend in deed.OK work with me here. We are living in economically challenging times and we are all trying to keep ourselves financially afloat.
So be honest with me, do you want someone calling you up because they have mishandled their funds while you were making sacrifices to beg you for $50.00 to last them until pay day?
The answer is most likely no you don’t want to hear it. You are working to keep your own stuff together and if you keep helping this friend your family will be in financial despair. You hate to say no because you like the person. Well you have to learn that no is a very strong and respected word. Just say, “I will not be able to help you this time because my cash is earmarked for something else.” Don’t feel bad and if the friend drops you as a friend then you just got rid of a pain in the butt.
